TikTok banned in the USA? Talking about #socialmedia is becoming more closer to a sociology (or political science) lesson rather than a #digitalmarketing one. What can Mr. Shou Zi Chew say, if not inviting users to manifest for their “freedom to use” #TikTok? After having lost the Indian Market in June 2020, the slide of the cake is too big to let the Americans go away without attempting to keep the market. The point we should all focus on is: do we need a global regulation for protecting personal data shared on Socials? The enemy is not Tik Tok, is not Meta neither. There is no enemy to fight: the urgent issue is to be all aware of the use of our data for these companies. They make millions but what are they doing for the world? #socialcommitment is part of the matter as well as the need of a global #gdpr.
