How long do Kaiser test results take? ›

Many test results are available within 24 hours, and some are even available within several hours. A small number of test results may not be available for a few days. Your health care team is eager to provide test results to you as soon as they are available.

We will send a response within two business days (Monday through Friday, except on holidays and times when your doctors indicate they are away from the office).

If you prefer, you may file a grievance online at kaiserpermanente.org, in person at your local Member Service office, or by phone by calling 1-800-464-4000.

Messaging your doctor

Message your doctor's office with nonurgent questions anytime. Within 2 to 3 business days.

*A FIT needs to be done every year to be as effective as a 10-year colonoscopy. Your result will show up in your member account or be mailed to you within 7 days after the lab processes your test. POSITIVE result means blood was found in your stool sample. This does not necessarily mean you have cancer!

Full and part-time employees shall be subject to a six (6) month probationary period. The probationary period may be extended up to additional three (3) calendar months by mutual agreement between the employer and the employee.

It literally means that your job submission is complete and ready to be reviewed by the Talent Acquisition Agent or Recruiter.

If you are injured through the negligence of a Kaiser health care provider, you cannot sue Kaiser directly. Instead, you must submit a claim for injuries, which will be heard before a neutral arbitrator (an experienced former litigator or a retired judge). The neutral arbitrator acts as both the judge and the jury.

To submit an expedited grievance, call Kaiser's Expedited Review department at 1-888-987-7247 (toll free) or 711 (toll-free TTY for the hearing/speech impaired), 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 7 days a week.

The Kaiser Permanente Survey call is a spam robocall that has been sent to millions of consumers. The robocall prompts users to press a number that will connect them with a specialist to take a short health survey. Since people have not opted in to receive this type of call, it is considered spam.

Be persistent. If you don't hear back from your healthcare provider within two working days, Beck suggests calling or emailing again. In her experience, reaching out to someone else in the practice, such as another doctor, a physician's assistant or the practice manager, will expedite the response time.

There's no universally agreed-upon duration, but for straightforward, routine appointments (like your annual physical, a Pap smear, a prescription refill, etc.), the physicians I spoke with say that, generally, 20–30 minutes past your scheduled time is the outer bounds of acceptable—meaning if you've been waiting that ...

Results. Urine culture results are usually ready in 1 to 3 days.

Genetic test results usually take about 2 weeks, but some can take longer. Your genetics doctor or counselor will tell you when to expect your result. Genetic test results are usually viewable on kp.org as soon as they're ready.

Blood test results can take several minutes to several weeks, depending on the test. It is common to wait a day or two for most results to come back. A person should talk to their doctor or lab about what to expect regarding their test results.

Results. Your tissue samples are sent to a doctor (pathologist) who specializes in evaluating biopsies. It may take 3 to 5 days for the biopsy results to come back. Normal results mean there are no problems with the tissue and no signs of cancer.
